Forgiving about how people type
Case and accents are folded together, so "café" and "cafe" are the same word, and plurals find singulars. Every word in the query has to turn up somewhere for a result to count — and a match in a title outranks one buried in body copy, so the closest answer sits at the top with the matched words highlighted.

Your dashboard ranks the top searches over the last week, month, or quarter — and separately, the ones that returned nothing at all. That second list is the useful one. It's a product you don't stock yet, a page nobody ever wrote, or simply the word your customers use for something you call by another name.
