Overview

Your site is more than a page — it's a place to publish, and a way to keep in touch. You get a built-in blog for sharing news and stories, a newsletter that grows an audience that's truly yours, email campaigns that go out looking just like your site, and the SEO basics that help people find you.

Everything lives right in your dashboard, alongside the site you already built — no separate blogging tool, email service, or SEO plugin to buy or wire up.

Where things live: your blog is under Posts, your audience and campaigns are under Newsletter, and your search settings are in each site's Settings (from the side nav, open Sites, click your site's action button (the ⋯), and choose Settings).

Write and publish blog posts

The blog is built in. Write a post in your dashboard, publish it, and show it on your site — with the same care for type and images as the rest of your pages.

  1. In the side navigation, open Posts.
  2. Click the plus (+) button to start a new post.
  3. Give it a title, write your content, and add any images or tags you'd like.
  4. Save it as a Draft while you work, or Publish when it's ready. Drafts stay private; published posts can appear on your site.
  5. To show your posts on the site, open the page where you want them, add a Journal (blog) section in the editor, and publish. Your latest posts fill in automatically.

New posts flow into your Journal section on their own — you don't have to add each one to the page by hand. Write, publish, and it appears.

Grow your newsletter list

Your newsletter list is yours — it lives with your site, not rented from someone else. You collect subscribers with a signup block on your site, and watch your audience grow from the Newsletter area.

  1. In the editor, open a page and add a Newsletter signup section wherever you'd like people to subscribe — many sites put one in the footer or near the bottom of the home page.
  2. Publish the page. Visitors can now enter their email to join your list.
  3. In the side navigation, open Newsletter to see your subscriber count and how your list is growing over time.
  4. New subscribers are added automatically as people sign up — there's nothing to sync or export.

People who book, order, or message you can become contacts too. Your full audience lives in People — see the Customers & CRM guide for how contacts, tags, and consent fit together.

Send an email campaign

A campaign is a one-off email to your subscribers — an announcement, a sale, a new post, a seasonal hello. You write it in your dashboard, and it goes out looking like it came straight from your site.

  1. In the side navigation, open Newsletter, then Campaigns.
  2. Click the plus (+) button to create a new campaign.
  3. Add a subject line, then write your message. As you type, a live preview shows exactly what subscribers will see — already styled with your site's colors and type.
  4. Send yourself a test first to check how it looks in a real inbox.
  5. When you're happy, Send now to deliver it to your subscribers, or Schedule it for a date and time that suits you. You'll see how many people it's going to before it sends.

Every campaign automatically picks up your site's look, so you don't design emails from scratch — write the words and it matches your brand for you.

Sending limits and your address

Every plan includes 5,000 email sends a month across your newsletters and campaigns — plenty for regular contact with a growing list. Anything beyond that bills at a tenth of a cent per send, and you can keep an eye on where you stand under Newsletter, in the Usage view.

Your mail sends from your own domain when you've set up email, so messages look professional and replies come straight back to you.

Set up email on your domain first so campaigns send from you@inbox.yourdomain.com rather than a generic address — see the Domains & email guide. Unsubscribes are handled automatically: anyone who opts out is added to your suppression list in Privacy and won't receive future marketing email.

Get found in search

Search engines look for a few basics on every site — a clear title, a short description, and a tidy web address. Yours are set sensibly out of the box, and you can fine-tune how your site shows up in tabs, search results, and shared links.

  1. In the side navigation, open Sites, click your site's action button (the ⋯), and choose Settings.
  2. Find the Brand & SEO group, then the SEO card.
  3. Set your Page title — this shows in browser tabs and as the headline in search results.
  4. Write a Description — a sentence or two shown under the title in search results.
  5. Add a Favicon (the small square icon in the browser tab) and a Social share image (shown when your site is shared; 1200×630 works well), then save.

Sitemaps are generated for you, and every page has a clean, readable web address — so there's nothing technical to set up. These settings simply help you put your best foot forward.

Tips

A few things that make content and email work harder:

  1. Set up email on your domain before your first campaign — sending from your own address builds trust and keeps replies in one place.
  2. Add a newsletter signup where people already are — the footer and the end of your best pages tend to convert well.
  3. Always send yourself a test before a campaign goes out, and read it on your phone as well as your computer.
  4. Publish posts regularly, even short ones — a fresh Journal gives visitors (and search engines) a reason to come back.

Frequently asked questions

Yes — a built-in blog you write right in your dashboard under Posts, with the same care for type and images as the rest of your site. There's no separate blogging tool to pay for. Add a Journal section to a page to show your posts, and new ones appear automatically.

Add a Newsletter signup section to any page and start collecting subscribers. Your list lives with your site and it's yours — you're never renting your audience from someone else. Watch it grow under Newsletter in the side navigation.

Open Newsletter, then Campaigns, and click the + button. Add a subject, write your message with a live preview, send yourself a test, then Send now or schedule it for later. You'll see the recipient count before it goes out.

Every plan includes 5,000 email sends a month across newsletters and campaigns, and anything beyond that bills at a tenth of a cent per send. You can track your usage under Newsletter, in the Usage view.

Automatically — campaigns pick up your site's colors and type, so every message looks like it came from you. You write the words; the styling is handled for you.

Once you've set up email on your domain, campaigns send from your own address — something like you@inbox.yourdomain.com — and replies come straight back to that inbox. See the Domains & email guide to set it up.

Every page has the title, description, and clean URL search engines look for — set sensibly by default and yours to fine-tune in your site's Settings, under Brand & SEO. Sitemaps are automatic, and you can add a social share image so links look right when shared.
