Overview

Your People area is a simple CRM — one place for everyone connected to your site. Whenever someone books an appointment, subscribes to your newsletter, places an order, or sends a message, they're saved here automatically, so your contact list builds itself as you do business.

From People you can add contacts by hand, bring in a list you already have, organize everyone with tags, and track where a lead is in your pipeline.

To find it, open People from the side navigation. Every contact has a detail page with their info, notes, tags, and lead status.

Add and import contacts

Start from the people you already know, then let new ones flow in on their own.

  1. In the side navigation, open People.
  2. Click Add to create a single contact with their name and email.
  3. Have a list already? Choose Import and upload a CSV to add many at once.
  4. Need a backup or want to work elsewhere? Use Export to download your contacts as a CSV.

New bookings, subscribers, and orders add their own contacts automatically — importing is only for lists you're bringing over.

Tags, notes, and lead status

Open any contact to see everything about them in one place. Group people with tags — by interest, source, or anything that helps you — jot private notes only your team sees, and set a lead status to track where someone is on the way to becoming a customer.

Your shared inbox

Messages sent through your site's contact and quote forms land in your Inbox, where you and your team can read and reply together. Because those messages are tied to the person who sent them, the conversation and the contact stay connected.

Consent and unsubscribes

Marketing consent is handled for you. The Privacy area shows who's opted in, keeps your suppression list, and honors unsubscribes automatically — so the people who hear from you are the ones who asked to.

Frequently asked questions

Anyone who books, subscribes, orders, or messages you is added to People automatically. You can also add people by hand or import a CSV.

Yes — use Export on the People page to download everyone as a CSV whenever you like. Your data is always yours.

They're automatic. When someone unsubscribes they're added to your suppression list in the Privacy area and won't receive future marketing email.
